Frida Kahlo

Frida Kahlo,a painter who usually paint herself. Says herself that she paint herself is because of she often being alone and she herself is a best subject for her to be paint. Her painting usually contain meaning of her life, feelings, condition. Her work usually describe as surrealist. In 1938, Andre Breton, Principal initiator of the surrealist movement described her art as a "Ribbon Around A Bomb" but Frida rejected the surrealist label because she believe her painting/work reflected more of her reality than her dreams. When at the age of teenagers, Frida suffered a lot of lifelong health problems. Many caused by a traffic accident she survived. After recovering from her injuries isolated from other people, and this isolation influenced her works, many of which are just potraits.
